The smell of the hot desert and the earth after it rains. The sound of leaves crunching under my feet. The breeze dancing in the leaves of trees. These are the simple things God has given us and these are the simple things that inspire me.

Mural for SunnySide Christian Church
I wanted to post a few photos of the murals I have completed at SunnySide's nursery. I've been asked to do a few more in addition to these, but think I'm going to take a break until baby 'corn muffin' is born. I've been completely drained lately. This weekend has been a weekend of laziness for me. *yawn* Enjoy the photos.

Finished Family Room Mural
Yeah! It's complete!
Here are the final shots of the mural in my family room. There are several shots so you can see different point of views and different details. Enjoy!
And please...give some honest feedback. I want to improve and I can only do that with feedback from you! Thanks for reading.

Getting Started
Welcome to my new blog spot. I'm new at this so please bare with me.

I've been a stay at home mom for 2 months and one week. Since giving up my successful career, I have started to find myself again. The artist one. The one who majored in theater and minored in art. The one who loves getting her hands dirty and exploring nature. The one who creates!
The first victim since I've been home? My family room wall!
Below are a few starter pictures.
I originally was going to throw in some red Chinese maple leaves. Then my dad pointed out that they resemble marijuana! So the search for a new leaf is on it's way. Until then I'll have to work on the branches and birds...
A friend recently asked if I was going to put blossoms on my tree.

Great idea! Why didn't I think of it? I love cherry blossoms or even apple tree blossoms. I suppose I'll explore that idea a little bit further and see if it will go with my color scheme in my family room. Until I discover the leaf or blossom of my dreams my poor incomplete family room wall will have to do without it's "pants".
